Working on Small WallArt

I'm trying to finish off some small projects that just need a little attention. Well, one piece needs a little attention but when you have 6 pieces, that turns into a full day's worth of attention. These are small wallart that will be wrapped on canvas for Laura's etsy shop, The Crimson Vagabond .  Stop by for a quick look and if you are on etsy, be sure and Favorite Us.  We need the exposure.

The background fabric for the scarab is some crappy fabric I overspraypainted.  I have used that fabric alot!  I may need to pull some other pieces out and get some more spray paint onto them.

This week's TAST is couching so I combined that with this . . . . .

I spent the weekend with Sophie at the Texas Quilt Museum and other quilt shows in LaGrange.  Even though I am (was) suffering from a head cold, we had a good time.  I did realize, though, that I seriously undervalue my work.  Seriously.  I don't think these will be listed in the $35 range like I first expected.

Thank you to all who are buying raffle tickets for the American Cancer Society quilt.  If you make a yearly contribution to the cancer society, consider making that contribution through me.  You will receive a chance(s) to win the quilt!  All money will be directed to the American Cancer Society the end of April.  Send checks made to ACS.  Drawing for quilt is Apr 15th.

Have a Creative Day, Y'All!

  1. Oh, my! Such dark works compared to your usual light-hearted flowers and birds and such! What do you mean, you "overspraypainted" that fabric?

  5. OMG I love the skulls. Where are they for sale? I really love the dark background one the most. Dibs if it isn't already gone.

  8. These are really beautiful, and I agree, $35.00 isn't enough to ask for them. Your cardinal pillow is also beautiful. Your combination of machine and hand embroidery is very harmonious.

Very gorgeous. I love your use of color. How are you finishing the edges? That looks like what I want to do on a small piece of all art.
    Thanks,
