It's the Little Stuff

From UgH!

to Ahh!

It's amazing how long it has taken me to put a new cover on my ironing board--a task that might have taken 15 minutes including the time to walk to the attic to get the string for the gathers; I make my own cover. Now that task is off the list!

My recycled denim dress--I shortened a mid-calf length dress, removed the collar and added the embroidery.

I wore it yesterday to jury duty for which I was not called and then to lunch and shopping with my mom. I had it on for dinner with Wes and he (and my mom) thought it was very cute. I felt a little like a fashion throwback especially when we kept seeing '70s inspired clothes at SteinMart. Like man, I've already been there. *wink* But, overall, it was a good machine embroidery experiment and I believe I'll be wearing it alot this next season.

(and yes, I am still walking--I just haven't updated my Walker Tracker in awhile.)

I laughed at the ironing board cover. I tend to let mine get that way too until something calls my attention to how bad it is. Once my son told my husband to get me one for Christmas. He did, and I've never let him hear the end of it.

Nice dress! Denim is such a good canvas for embroidery. And that's the fanciest ironing board cover I've ever seen.

Boy I bet you looked like a little hottie in that outfit, too! That makes me smile and I'm sure it did Wes the same!!!

I love your new cover. Fantastic and happy.

I love the dress, of course, you always look like Vogue;)

Hey, did you have a pattern for that ironing board cover or did you come up with it yourself? And if so, would you share it with me? Mine needs replacing so badly.

I love yours!

Barbara took the words right out of my mouth. That is the most fantastic ironing board I've ever seen. Obviously, that is what I need to do to my board; It would make ironing so much more pleasant.
My closet needs a good cleaning and reorganizing, but I haven't been able to convince myself to do it yet.

My ass would look like a cruise ship with those designs embellishing it. I love the ironing board, please share how to do?
